Tickets for the New Year's Eve and New Year's Concerts of the Vienna Philharmonic
Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Concert
Due to extremely high demand, tickets for the three traditional end of year concerts of the Vienna Philharmonic are drawn by lot over this website at the beginning of each year. In this way, music lovers from all over the world have an equal chance to purchase these highly desired tickets. Between January 2nd and 23rd of every year, registrations will be accepted to take part in the drawing for tickets to the following end of year concerts.
During this time period, all interested parties are invited to register on this website for tickets to the Preview Performance (December 30, 11:00 AM), the New Year's Eve Concert (December 31, 7:30 PM), and the New Year's Concert (January 1, 11:15 AM). Each participant may register once for each of the three concerts. At the conclusion of the registration period, the tickets will be drawn from among all submitted applications, and all participants will be notified by the end of March regarding the outcome of the drawing. Successful participants will be notified by postal mail and will receive further information at that time on how to complete their ticket purchase. Unsuccessful participants will receive notification by e-mail.
Upon registering you will find a seating chart which includes price categories. You may select your desired price category and also indicate the number of tickets you would like to purchase. The number of tickets for the New Year's Concert is limited to two, but the number of tickets requested for the Preview Performance and New Year's Eve Concert can be higher. The ticket prices currently range between €30 and €940 for the New Year's Concert, €25 and €720 for the New Year's Eve Concert, and €130 and €380 for the Preview Performance (for this concert no standing room tickets are available). The program is the same for all three concerts.
Within the three week registration period, the actual time of registration is irrelevant. A registration made on January 23rd has the same chances of success as a registration made on January 2nd.
The only chance to receive tickets for these concerts is to participate in the drawing. Only by filling out the registration form found on this site during the registration period can a valid registration be submitted. Ticket requests submitted by postal mail, e-mail, or any other means will not be considered!

In 1810, Frédéric Chopin was born on March 1st in Żelazowa Wola and Robert Schumann was born on June 8th in Zwickau. The Vienna Philharmonic celebrates an even more significant anniversary with the birthday of Otto Nicolai on June 9, 1810, in Königsberg.
