2008年ザルツブルク音楽祭期間中の青少年のための音楽キャンプ

Bartók Camp 2008

Hardly any limits were set on the creativity and imagination of the participants, and the phrase 'music camp' hardly encompasses all the activities which went into the understanding of the concept of a Gesamtkunstwerk and the production of a collective presentation. With the assistance of eight Philharmonic musicians in the two final presentations, a bridge was created between the elementary level of the young people on one hand, and the highest artistic perfection on the other.

Magic Flute Camp 2008

The Bartók camp centered around the Cantata Profana, which tells the story of an ancient Romanian legend, and its theme of transformation was eagerly taken up by the 11 - 14 year olds. The approach to Belá Bartók was multifaceted, with his portraits being altered in the painting studio, and the course of his life charted through quotes from his letters. The students experimented with improvisations in the style of Bartók's compositions, and a choreographed version of the Cantata Profana was prepared, Hungarian folk songs were studied and much chamber music was practiced. The closing presentation provided a lively yet moving insight into the life and work of the composer.

Magic Flute Camp 2008

The youngsters in the age group 7 - 10 worked on costumes, props, and backdrops for their own production of "The Magic Flute", while studying roles, developing scenes and writing texts. Singing in chorus together, improvisation, and playing in an ensemble setting were important aspects of the workshop. For many of the children it was a new experience to listen and tune to one another, find a common tempo, proceed together and percieve what others around them are doing.
