Performers

Asmik Grigorian

Lithuanian soprano Asmik Grigorian studied at the Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy in her home city of Vilnius, where she began her operatic career while still a student. She made her international debut in 2005 in the Norwegian city of Kristiansand. That same season also witnessed her debuts with the Lithuanian National Opera and at London’s Wigmore Hall.

Marianne Crebassa

French mezzo-soprano Marianne Crebassa’s critically acclaimed debut album, Oh, Boy!, was released in 2016. In 2017 she was named Singer of the Year at the Victoires de la Musique Classique Awards. Marianne Crebassa’s career has already taken her to leading opera houses in Europe and America. Recent appearances have included Cherubino in Berlin, Vienna and Amsterdam.

Daniel Johansson

Tenor Daniel Johansson was born in Sweden and studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Recent engagements have taken him to Bregenz, Stockholm, the Finnish National Opera, Semperoper, Berlin and the Vienna State Opera, among others.

Canadian bass baritone Gerald Finley is one of the leading singers and dramatic interpreters of his generation, with award-winning performances and recordings on CD and DVD with major labels and performing at the world’s major opera and concert venues in a wide variety of repertoire.

Following the example of the Vienna Philharmonic, which was formed from the Vienna State Opera Orchestra, die Concert Association of the Vienna State Opera Chorus was founded in 1927 to enrich the musical scene.
