Benefit Concert for the American Austrian Foundation in New York

Members of the Vienna Philharmonic performed the 11th New York benefit concert for the American Austrian Foundation in Zankel Hall, the chamber music auditorium of Carnegie Hall, on November 27, 2007. The program consisted of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Divertimento in E-flat Major, KV 563, and the Clarinet Quintet in A Major, KV 581. Philharmonic members performing were Ernst Ottensamer, Eckhard Seifert, Clemens Hellsberg, Elmar Landerer and Gerhard Iberer. With the assistance of the Salzburg Weil Cornell Seminars of the Open Medical Institute, the American Austrian Foundation makes an invaluable contribution to the medical care of many regions throughout the world. Under the slogan of "Doctors helping Doctors", 9,000 doctors from the former Eastern European countries and Africa have received additional training and instruction.
