Stephan's Matinee of the Association Unser Stephansdom

On December 13, 2009, in the large Redoutensaal the Stephan's Matinee of the Association "Unser Stephansdom" was held for the second time. The musical program consisted almost exclusively of works by Joseph Haydn, including the Divertimento for Flute, Violin and Violoncello in G Major, Hob. IV:7; the 3rd and 4th movement from the Trumpet Concerto in E-flat Major, Hob. VIIe:1; the Largo from the Concerto per violino ed organo ex F, Hob. XVIII:6; and the 1st movement of the Symphony No. 104 in D major, Hob. I:104, in an arrangement for flute and strings by Johann Peter Salomon. The performers were Wolfgang Breinschmid, Hans Peter Schuh, Rainer Honeck, Clemens Hellsberg, Raimund Lissy, Wolf-Dieter Rath, Friedrich Dolezal, Alexander Matschinegg and Anton Holzapfel (organ). Sandra Cervik and Herbert Föttinger read Christmas stories by Joseph von Eichendorff, Hans Christian Andersen, Bertolt Brecht and others, with the conclusion of the concert being furnished by the Vienna Boys Choir and the previously named musicians along with Lars Michael Stransky and Wolfgang Lintner performing "Silent Night" in an arrangement by Karl Schleifer.
