Students' Rendition ofJörg Widmann's Score
A young peoples' musical introduction to the composition Teufel Amor by Jörg Widmann, which the Vienna Philharmonic premieres this month, will take place on Sunday, April 15th, at 10:00 AM in the Glass Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna.
Students from one of the Viennese high schools have studied the new composition in detail and developed their own version of the piece which makes use of musical motifs from the original score. They will also interview the composer and find out how he became a composer and what motivates his work.
As in past projects, an ensemble made up of members of the Vienna Philharmonic will provide the students with live professional musical support.
