4. Konzert des Philharmonischen Kammermusikzyklus 2014/15

The Vienna Philharmonic Chamber Music Series at the Vienna State Opera continued on Saturday, December 6, 2014, with a fourth matinee. Participating orchestra members were Daniel Froschauer (violin) and Raphael Flieder (cello). They were joined by soprano Valentina Naforniţá and Raphael Flieder's younger son, Maximillian, on piano. The concert began with the presentation of the "Zigeuner-Trio" in G major, Hob. XV.25 by Joseph Haydn, followed by the "Romanzen-Suite", op. 127, by Dmitri Shostakovich, which featured Valentina Naforniţá. In conclusion, the Piano Trio in E minor, op. 90 by Antonín Dvořák, subtitled the "Dumky-Trio", was heard.

For the encore which the audience demanded, the composition "Syncopation" (without an opus number) by Fritz Kreisler was performed.
