Twenty-eight memorial stones to commemorate victims of the National Socialist dictatorship have been set into the pavement in front of the Haus für Mozart on the Max-Reinhardt Platz in Salzburg. Several of these stones are dedicated to members of the Vienna Philharmonic.
We are very pleased that our concert activity will once again resume on June 5, 2020, with individual concerts performed before small audiences in the Musikverein.
The Vienna Philharmonic has participated in an aerosol emissions test und is making the results of this test to the Austrian Ministry of Health and the general public.
The Austrian government has decreed that all concerts in Austria, including those of the Vienna Philharmonic, will be cancelled through June 2020.
Due to the current situation, the Vienna Philharmonic is postponing the Summer Night Concert to Friday, September 18, 2020, a date that is of course dependent on further developments and still requires final confirmation from the responsible institutions.
Based on the decisionnmade by the Austrian Federal Government, the Vienna Philharmonic 8th Subscription Concerts on Saturday, March 21 at 3:30 PM and Sunday, March 22 at 11:00 AM, will not tqke place.

Die Wiener Philharmoniker werden auf Grund der aktuellen Erlässe der deutschen und österreichischen Regierungen alle Auftritte bis vorläufig Anfang April absagen. Dies betrifft auch die verbleibenden Konzerte der Beethoven-Tournee am Münchner Gasteig und im Festspielhaus Baden Baden sowie die bevorstehenden Abonnementkonzerte in Wien, so der Vorstand der Wiener Philharmoniker, Daniel Froschauer und der Geschäftsführer der Wiener Philharmoniker, Michael Bladerer.
