Biography

Carolin Lindner was born in 1999 in Rostock, Germany, and received her first instruction on the violin at the age of four at the Conservatory of the Hanseatic City of Rostock with Karsta Koch. Beginning in 2009, she received additional sponsorship through the young academy rostock of the College of Music and Theater in Rostock. She belonged to the preparatory class of Prof. Petru Munteanu und Anne Carolin Ohnimus from 2012-2017 before completing her bachelor studies with a violin major at the Leopold Mozart Center of the University of Augsburg with Prof. Petru Munteanu. Since 2022 she has continued her violin studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Prof. Albena Danailova. She has also taken part in various master classes with, among others, Ingolf Turban, Krzysztof Węgrzyn, Igor Ozim and Lukas Hagen.

Carolin Lindner gathered her first orchestral experience as a member of the German String Philharmonic from 2012 to 2018 and has been a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra since 2019. She also took part in the Angelika Prokopp Summer Academy of the Vienna Philharmonic in 2022 and has been able to garner additional experience as an apprentice with the Augsburg Philharmonic and substitute with the Vienna Philharmonic and Vienna State Opera Orchestra.

From 2016 to 2022, Carolin Lindner was a scholarship holder of the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation. She has won prizes at several national and international competitions, such as “Jugend Musiziert”, the Kloster Schöntal International Violin Competition and the “Szymon Goldberg” International Competition and performed as part of the Festival Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the Hohenloher Cultural Summer. She has made several appearances as a soloist with the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic and the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock.
