Summer Night Concert 2024

The Vienna Philharmonic is pleased to announce the program of the 21st Summer Night Concert 2024 and provide additional information about this event.

The Summer Night Concert 2024 will take place in the Schönbrunn Palace Park on June 7, 2024, at 08:30 PM.

This year's concert will be conducted by Maestro Andris Nelsons and features as vocal soloist the Norwegian opera singer and recitalist Lise Davidsen, who will perform one aria each from Richard Wagner's Tannhäuser and Giuseppe Verdi's La forza del destino.

According to Vienna Philharmonic chairman Daniel Froschauer, „The first Summer Night Concert took place in 2004 – exactly 20 years ago - and even today, the concept of making classical music accessible to the widest possible audience as a gift to music lovers everywhere still characterizes this event. The focus of this year's program is on popular works from the 19th and 20th centuries that highlight Europe's rich musical heritage. The bicentennial of the prominent Czech composer Bedřich Smetana will be celebrated with three compositions."
