#20 - We have successfully completed our Crowdfunding campaign

You have helped us greatly! Thanks to your support, four families will soon have a new home in the House for Asylum Seekers. The successful conclusion of the crowdfunding campaign means that we can get started. In cooperation with the DIAKONIE Flüchtlingsdienst and the municipality of St. Aegyd we can now actively assume our sponsorship of the house and its residents.

As an orchestra that supports charitable projects on a regular basis, we have been able to provide €1.7 Million for individuals in need within Austria in the past 15 years. As a result, benefit concerts and fundraising campaigns are nothing new to us, but a #crowdfunding project was for the Philharmonic completely new terrain. We are thus that much happier that so many people have taken part in this initiative. More than 300 crowdfunders have provided support for this project and contributed a portion of their own money.

Many thanks to all of our supporters. We will continue to inform you about the progress of this project and are looking forward to this new chapter in the annals of the Vienna Philharmonic!
