#6 - Willi Resetarits is helping

The name Willi Resetarits – or his alter-ego Dr Kurt Ostbahn or Ostbahn Kurti – stands for many people in Austria not only for his unique career as singer and musician, but also for his active social and political engagement. 20 years ago, in the time of the Yugoslavian war, Willi Resetarits founded the Integration House in Vienna, which has developed into an internationally recognised centre of competence for the intake, integration and education of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. Flight and loss are part of his own family history, which lived as the Croatian minority in the area between Austria and Hungary. He arrived in Vienna at the age of three. The Burgenland-Croat, who gave himself the stage name Kurt Ostbahn, enjoys a huge fan-base – as perhaps the most Viennese Rock and Blues singer of all time.
