Tugan Sokhiev to Step In for Concerts in Japan in November 2023

The Vienna Philharmonic has announced that during its upcoming 2023 Asian Tour, the musical direction of the concerts in Japan from November 10 – 19, 2023, originally planned for Franz Welser-Möst, will be taken over by Tugan Sokhiev.

Chairman Daniel Froschauer has expressed his special gratitude to Tugan Sokhiev and the Staatskapelle Dresden for making this change possible. He also appreciates the understanding of the NHK Symphony Orchestra (Japan).
