Vienna Philharmonic Benefit Concert for Refugee Aid Raises €116,892.73
The Vienna Philharmonic offered a testimony to the ideals of humanitarianism and willingness to help with a benefit concert for refugee aid in the Vienna Konzerthaus on September 28th. The total proceeds of €116.892,73 will go to the ORF donation platform Helfen. WIE WIR.
Christoph Eschenbach conducted Mozart's Symphony in G Minor, KV 550 as well as the "Jupiter Symphony", KV 551. Elisabeth Kulman was the soloist in Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder. All participants donated their services for this event.
This benefit cncert was a joint production of the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna Konzerthaus Society.
In co-operation with the ORF, Gewista, Caritas, Diakonie, Hilfswerk, Rotes Kreuz, Samariterbund and Volkshilfe.
