Information on the Summer Night Concert 2020
Due to the current situation and government regulations for the containment of the Covid-19 pandemic, this year's Summer Night Concert will take place under changed circumstances, with the safety of concert visitors having the highest priority.
The 2020 Summer Night Concert will be made available to the public primarily by means of the television broadcast on ORF2 and 3SAT. Due to the regulations for the containment of the Covid-19 pandemic, unrestricted access to the concert event on September 18, 2020, will not be possible. Beginning at 6 PM on September 18, 2020, the park will no longer be open to the public, with some sections of the park closing even earlier. Thanks to a generous gesture on the part of the Austrian Federal Government to forego many seats, it will be possible for us to make a small number of seats available to the general population. Despite all of the challenging circumstances, the Vienna Philharmonic wishes to send a positive signal with the performance of this concert.
Information on the Drawing of Tickets on the Summer Night Concert Website
We are pleased that despite the adverse circumstances, our Summer Night Concert audience will this year have a unique opportunity to obtain seating over the Philharmonic website. A drawing of tickets for the concert will take place on Monday, September 14, 2020, beginning at 1 PM here. Only one ticket per application can be issued, which must be personalized. We will therefore need to have a name, street address, e-mail address and telephone number for each application.
As always, the Summer Night Concert 2020 can be experienced by everyone comfortably and safely by way of the television broadcast or the live stream.
The Summer Night Concert will be broadcast on the following channels:
- ORF 2: September 18, 2020, 8:15 – 9:40 PM
- 3SAT: September 18, 2020, 9:55 – 11:30 PM
We kindly request viewers outside of Austria to check the television listings in their respective countries.
