WORLD CULTURAL HERITAGE SITE

UNESCO has declared Schönbrunn Palace a World Cultural Heritage Site. The Palace is one of Austria's most important cultural assets and tourist attractions. During the 20th meeting of the World Heritage Committee in December 1996, the palace was added to the registry of World Heritage Sites, which was started in 1972. The addition of Schönbrunn Palace to this prestigious listing confirms the significance of the palace and its entire grounds as a baroque Gesamtkunstwerk.

We kindly request our concert visitors to respect this setting and treat the palace grounds with care.

Please avoid green areas and paths, that are blocked off and do not take shortcuts. This protects the park and is conducive to your safety. Thank you.
