The chairman of the Vienna Philharmonic, Daniel Froschauer, and business manager Michael Bladerer are pleased about the renewed artistic partnership with John Williams: "In addition to many legendary film music compositions, the program will feature John Williams’ Violin Concerto #2, composed in 2021 especially for Anne-Sophie Mutter. In this manner, we celebrate with John Williams and Anne-Sophie Mutter the composer's 90th birthday."

The director of the Society of Friends of Music, Dr. Stephan Pauly, shares the anticipation of the orchestra: "Over several decades, the music of John Williams has inspired millions of people around the world. To have him here to conduct his own compositions live with the Vienna Philharmonic in the Golden Hall is a great honor and the source of much joy."
