"Magic Flute for Kids" in the Vienna State Opera

Two one-hour performances of the "Magic Flute for Kids" took place the day after the Opera Ball, utilizing the large area necessary for it, which requires raising the floor of the auditorium and the orchestra pit to stage height for the ball that provides space for 3,500 persons. This activity is also part of our youth program geared to remove any inhibition that children might have regarding the large and imposing "House on the Ring", generally perceived as having "high and heavy overtones".

As was the case in 2012 and 2014, the conductor was Patrick Lange and moderation for the event was in the hands of the Papageno, Hans Peter Kammerer, who along with the other members of the vocal ensemble, the artistic and technical personnel as well as the conductor and orchestra, were at the children's disposal for questions and clarification.
