Minute of silence for the people of Ukraine

The Chairman of the Vienna Philharmonic, Daniel Froschauer, asked the Carnegie Hall audience in today’s concert for a minute of silence for the people of Ukraine.

“In the name of the Vienna Philharmonic, in the name of our dear partner Carnegie Hall, in the name of our conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin we kindly ask you for a minute of silence after our performance of Tchaikovsky’s Symphony. With that minute of silence we want to express our deep connection with the people of  Ukraine. We stand together against any form of violence, aggression and war. Thank you.“
