Mozart Matinee in the Vienna State Opera

The next-to-last concert of this season's Vienna Philharmonic Chamber Music Series in the Vienna State Opera took place on Saturday, May 16, 2015, in the Gustav Mahler Hall of the Vienna State Opera. An ensemble composed of Milan Šetena and Andreas Großbauer (violin); Tobias Lea and Gerhard Marschner (viola); Peter Somodari (cello); and Wolfgang Tomböck (horn) provided a program made up entirely of music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. They began with the String Quartet in C major, KV 465 ("Dissonance Quartet"; followed by the Quintet, KV 407, for Horn, 2 Violin, 2 Violas and Violoncello. After the intermission, the String Quartet in G minor, KV516, was heard.
