The Vienna Philharmonic took part in a benefit concert for the William J. Clinton Foundation on May 18, 2012, in the Burgtheater. Monica Erdmann (Soprano), Bernarda Fink (Mezzo-soprano), Michael Schade (Tenor) and Florian Boesch (Bass) sang arias from operas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ("Zaïde", "The Marriage of Figaro", "Don Giovanni", "The Magic Flute", "La Clemenza di Tito") and from Christoph Willibald Gluck's "Orfeo ed Euridice". Sunnyi Melles, accompanied by Albena Danailova, gave a recitation of excerpts from "Die Frau ohne Schatten" and "Der Rosenkavalier" by Richard Strauss / Hugo Hoffmansthal, in an arrangement for narrator and solo violin by Tibor Kovác.
