New Partnership with Apple Music Classical

Vienna Philharmonic is proud to announce its partnership with Apple Music Classical:
the new streaming app designed for classical music listeners of all kinds.

It contains the largest classical music catalog in the world, including hundreds of recordings from Vienna Philharmonic which can be enjoyed in the highest audio quality: lossless up to 24 bit and Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos.

Within this partnership, Vienna Philharmonic is delighted to announce the release, exclusively on Apple Music Classical, of six recordings of the  Subscription Concerts from the previous and current season, produced together with Unitel and ORF and distributed by Platoon.

Since 1860, the Vienna Philharmonic's Subscription Concerts have formed the basis of the orchestra's musical endeavours and have become an indispensable component of Viennese musical life. Together with the New Year’s Concert and the Summer Night Concert, the Orchestra’s Subscription Concerts are ultimate references for classical music lovers around the globe. The popularity of this series is such that the fans of the Orchestra need to wait years before having a chance to get a subscription. As the recordings of these concerts become available for streaming for the first time, a much larger group of classical fans will have the chance to enjoy these iconic performances. 

In the coming months and for the next four seasons, on top of these six recordings, additional Subscription Concerts will be released exclusively on Apple Music Classical.
