New Year’s Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic becomes globally accessible

The Vienna Philharmonic and medici.tv are pleased to announce the live broadcast of the New Year’s Concert 2022 on medici.tv in all those countries and regions currently not covered by television broadcasts.

This marks the very first time in the event’s long history that it will be available on a truly global basis. The partnership between the Vienna Philharmonic and medici.tv extends the global reach of this exceptional concert, adding over 100 new countries to the concert broadcasts allowing millions of classical music lovers worldwide to watch it live for the first time.

The livestream of the New Year’s Concert 2022 will be free to watch on medici.tv on Saturday, 1st January 2022 at 11:15 AM (CET) and available on replay free of charge for five days in the respective countries. After Thursday, 6th January 2022, medici.tv subscribers will be able to view the full replay. For six months following the initial broadcast, the event will be exclusively available in the countries not covered by television broadcast.

Medici.tv will also release recordings of recent editions of the New Year’s Concerts and the Summer Night Concerts, available on demand through medici.tv starting today.
