Patrick Hofer
Biography
Austrian trumpeter Patrick Hofer studied trumpet performance at the University of Music and Performance in Vienna with Prof. Prof. Carole Dawn Reinhart until 2011 and since then with Prof. Martin Mühlfellner. He is the winner of numerous prizes including three times the Prima la Musica, among others.
He has been principal trumpet with the Stadttheater Klagenfurt/Kärntner Sinfonieorchester, a member of the Orchestra of the Vienna Volksoper and principal trumpet of the Bruckner Orchester Linz in the 2018/19 season.
Patrick Hofer has worked with several prominent orchestras including the Vienna Philharmonic, the Vienna State Opera Orchestra, the Stage Orchestra of the Vienna State Opera, the Vienna Symphony, the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, the Lower Austrian Tonkünstler, the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Hofmusikkapelle Wien, among others.
In addition, he has participated in the Vienna Philharmonic Summer Academy as part of the Salzburg Festival. He is active in several ensembles such as Philblech Wien, Wiener Virtuosen, Concertverein Wien, Ensemble Phace Wien, Consortium Musicum and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra.
