How do I register for tickets to the New Year's Concert?
The first step is to register for a user account on the website of the Vienna Philharmonic. In order to register, use the button "REGISTER/LOGIN", which you will find at the upper right of every page on the website. After your user account has been registered, you can make your application for tickets during the application period in the 'My Account' area under 'New Year's Concerts Ticket Drawing'.
Why do I have to open a user account before taking part in the drawing?
In order to administer the drawing as well as the online purchase of tickets and other products, we need to have registration information available.
Will you delete my user account after the drawing?
No, user accounts are not deleted after the drawing. In this manner you can apply to participate in the drawing in the following years without having to open a new user account.
Do I have to register again every year?
The registration of a user account need only be done one time. The application for tickets must be made each year a new.
What is the procedure used for the drawing?
The drawing takes place completely anonymously through a computer program which randomly selects applicants from among all applications which have been submitted for the seats in each category which have been released for drawing. The tickets are then reserved for these applicants directly in our ticket reservation system. Every year, the chances of winning are the same for all participants.
I receive an "Access denied" message and cannot log in.
In this case you have entered either an incorrect e-mail address or password. If you would like to reset your password, please use the function "Lost Password?". If you entered an incorrect e-mail address when you registered or no longer remember which address you used when you registered, please make a new registration.
I cannot register and receive the message "This e-mail address already exists in our system."
Probably you have already registered at some time in the past with your e-mail address (maybe for last year's drawing). It is not possible for you to register again with the same e-mail address. Please log in with your e-mail address and password which you chose at the time you registered. If you don't remember your password, please use the function "Lost Password?" which you will find directly under the password field.
I do not remember the email address which I used for my registration. How can I find it out?
When you use the function "Lost Password?" you will be asked to enter your e-mail address. If the e-mail address exists there will be sent a password reset link to this e-mail address.
I entered an incorrect e-mail address when I registered my account. What should I do?
In this case, please register a new user with the correct email address.
I registered on the website and made an application for tickets but have not yet received an e-mail confirmation. Why not?
We do not send an e-mail confirmation after registration or application for tickets. The only e-mail you will receive from us will be sent after the drawing process has been completed. It will inform you whether or not you were successful in the drawing.
